Giving With the Right Heart
London Rangers Church exists to serve people, build community, and share faith through action. While we do need finances to operate and support our work, we value time, service, and relationship far more than money.
Giving is never pressured and never expected. It is something that should be done freely and joyfully, not out of obligation.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7
More Than Money
Some of the most valuable ways people support the church include:
- Giving time through volunteering
- Offering skills, encouragement, and care
- Praying for the church, community, and one another
- Simply being present and building relationships
These contributions matter deeply and are just as important as financial giving.
Why Financial Support Helps
Financial gifts help us to:
- Run community and church activities
- Support pastoral care and practical help
- Provide food, hospitality, and resources
- Maintain safe and welcoming spaces
- Support outreach connected to football and community work
We aim to use finances wisely, responsibly, and in line with our values.
Transparency & Accountability
We are committed to being open and transparent.
- Church finances are managed responsibly
- Members are kept informed
- Financial updates are shared at our Annual General Meeting (AGM)
We believe trust is built through honesty and accountability.
Ways to Give
If you would like to support the church financially, you can give in any of the following ways:
- Cash or card (in person)
- Online giving
- PayPal
There is no set amount and no expectation to give regularly. Give only if and when you feel led to do so.
In Simple Terms
We don’t seek money — we seek people.
Giving is voluntary, transparent, and rooted in gratitude, not pressure.
If you have any questions about giving or church finances, you’re always welcome to ask.
If you want next, I can:
- Shorten this for a mobile-only version
- Add a “Give your time” section
- Include a financial integrity statement suitable for partners or funders
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, your donation may be eligible for Gift Aid. This allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 given, at no additional cost to you.
How Gift Aid Works
- You must be a UK taxpayer
- You must have paid enough Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount reclaimed
- Gift Aid can be claimed on financial gifts only
Gift Aid is entirely optional. You are never expected to opt in, and choosing not to does not affect your involvement or welcome in the church.
Our Commitment
- Gift Aid is claimed responsibly and correctly
- Records are kept securely
- All Gift Aid claims are included in our financial reporting
- Members are updated at our AGM
Important Reminder
If your circumstances change and you no longer pay sufficient tax, you can withdraw your Gift Aid declaration at any time.
Giving remains a personal choice. Gift Aid simply helps your generosity go further if you choose to use it.

Give Your Time
Serving Is at the Heart of Our Church
At London Rangers Church, giving your time is one of the most valuable ways to support the church. We believe that presence, service, and relationships are just as important — if not more — than financial giving.
You don’t need special skills or lots of availability. What matters most is a willing heart.
Ways to Get Involved
There are many simple and practical ways to serve, including:
- Welcome & hospitality – tea, coffee, and greeting people
- Community & outreach – supporting football and community programmes
- Practical help – setting up, packing away, or helping where needed
- Prayer & pastoral support – praying for others and offering encouragement
You can serve regularly or occasionally, whatever fits your life and season.
Why Giving Time Matters
Serving helps to:
- Build genuine relationships
- Strengthen community
- Support those who are struggling
- Live out our values of love, relationship, family, and compassion
Every contribution, no matter how small it may feel, makes a real difference.
