Education
Vocational to Academic pathway has no restrictions on previous educational achievement.

Year 1:

· Level 3 VRQ Diploma in Sport (City & Guilds)
· *Maths and English Functional Skills at relevant level to learner initial assessment

Year 2:

· Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Sport (Edexcel)
· *Maths and English Functional Skills at relevant level to learner initial assessment
· On successful completion of two-year programme the learner will be able to progress to Higher Education via a Foundation Degree or with certain partners a Full Honours Degree. This will provide the platform to gain employment within the sports sector.

Academic pathway focusing on education background in addition to playing ability.

Requires minimum of 3 GCSE’s at A*-C grades. One of three must include either Maths and/or English as grade C or above.

Year 1:

· Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Sport (EDEXCEL)

· Identified learners wishing to study additional units for ‘Extended Diploma’ will be discussed at interview.

· *Maths or English Functional Skills at relevant level to learner initial assessment. Due to entry requirements we would only expect a maximum of one Functional skill to be completed whilst studying at this level.

Year 2:

· Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sport (EDEXCEL)

· *Maths and English Functional Skills at relevant level to learner initial assessment

· Learners completing Extended Diploma will complete additional units.

· On successful completion of two-year programme learner will gain UCAS points equivalent to 2 A-Levels for Diploma or 3 A-Levels for the extended Diploma enabling entry into Higher Education as well as providing the platform to gain employment within the sports sector.

All Learners

As a result of learner feedback and the need to develop employability skills, learners will now complete a Level 2 Fitness based qualification in year 1 and a relevant Level 1 Coaching qualification in year 2.

We work with various organisations to provide opportunities and career pathways for our boys with associations with BBC, Sky Sports, media houses, football clubs and leisure centres.
