After the London Rangers finally won their first match in the Hellenic League, the team suffered a 3:5 away loss against Chalfont Wasps Reserves in their last fixture. After 1:1 at halftime, the teams offered a spectacular game. The Rangers are now focused on the Middlesex Intermediate Cup fixture against Spartans Youth on Saturday.
The Pavilion/Carville Hall Park. It was a moment the team desperately waited for: The London Rangers celebrated their first three points after a great performance against Aston Clinton at home. The team showed quality in front of the goal and secured a 3:1 win after goals from Owen Carino (2) and Tyrone Spence.
Although the Rangers were motivated to secure more points against another competitor of the bottom third of the table, they lost against Chalfont Wasps Reserves. After an encouraging performance from both sides, the teams went into halftime with a 1:1 score, before the second half guaranteed absolute attacking football. Rangers were second best in that clash and suffered a 3:5 defeat, Ryan Campbell (2) and Mohamed scored for them.
Rangers are looking forward and are focused on the cup fixture against Spartan Youth. The team of Chairman Mark Stow lost their last four league games in the Surrey Elite Intermediate. A 2:0 home win against Merrow preceded an absolute loss of form:
The team were defeated by Laleham 1:3 at home and lost against Royal Holloway Old Boys 0:2 before they suffered a defeat in a spectacle against Tooting Bec (3:5) where striker Majeed scored a hattrick. Goals from Arnold and Bokuia couldn’t prevent another loss at home against Godalming & Farncombe Athletic (2:3). Their current top scorer is Majeed with six goals.
The Middlesex Intermediate Cup match will take place on Saturday at the Spartan Youth home ground Carville Hall Park North.
Kickoff is at 1.30 pm.
