After the London Rangers FC couldn’t use their chance to gain the first three points of the season against Abingdon United Development, the team will face the Aston Clinton Reserves, currently on the 9th spot of the league, this weekend.
The Pavilion. Although the team showed an encouraged and good performance, they finished the game empty-handed – again. The match against Abingdon United Development ended 2:4, Anthony Egundobi and Joshua Ogunbajo scored.
The upcoming opponent Aston Clinton Reserves won their last game against the Penn & Tylers Green Reserves 2:1 at home where Luke Desmond and Aaron Bonham scored and secured their win.
With that win, they got shot of their weak form to the start of the season when they lost 3:2 against the Virginia Water Reserves and 10:0 against Abingdon Town. The team of captain Alex McGowan secured their first points on their first home-game: They won 1:0 against the Chalfont Wasps Reserves before Chalvey Sports hammered them 6:0 in another away-loss.
The only away-win they celebrated was against Bucks Blue (1:0) in the first round of the B&B Intermediate Cup before Chalfont threw them out with a convincing 3:0 win.
The team is also out of the Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup after Virginia Water hammered them 8:1 at home.
It’s clear to see that the Aston Clinton Reserves are not really moving into gear when it comes to away games. It will be exciting to see how the team with their top-goalscorer Joe Kittle (2 goals) will do on Saturday against the London Rangers FC.
The match will take place on our home ground The Pavilion.
Kick-off is at 3 pm.
