The London Rangers FC had a tough start into the 2017/18 season of the Hellenic League Two East. Following a defeat on the opening matchday, the team lost against the Penn & Tylers Green and Virginia Water Reserves in an unlucky way. The next chance for the first points of the season is the away game against Stokenchurch.
Park Lane. The match taking place at Park Lane will be the chance of making amends for the devastating first matchday of the season where Stokenchurch lost 7:1 against Marlow United in an away game. Marvin Taylor scored the consolation goal. Nevertheless they presented themselves in a good form while preseason. They won both of their latest friendlies: After a 4:1 home win against FC Leisure they reached a 1:0 away win against Downley FC.
They ended up on the 9th place after the end of the 2016/17 campaign, getting 23 points from 22 games (7 wins, 2 draws, 13 losses).
Long runner of the season was David Fisher with 26 appearances while Steven Park was the highest goalscorer with 18 goals followed by Ashley Hunt with 10 goals. Stokenchurch plays their 4th running season in the Hellenic League.
The London Rangers received a bitter loss on their last matchday against Virginia Water Reserves despite an advantage on chances with 1:4, whereby the defence didn’t have the best of days. Rowan Larrington scored for the Rangers.
